Cheer for Ari has officially come to an end for the year. It was such an amazing time for our whole family. It goes without saying that Ari reveled in every minute of her girlie, heart pounding, music blaring glory. The pictures (although definitely not my best shots – I was in screaming/crying mom mode and not photographer mode) still tell the story of her love for this activity and this team. Ari’s squad, Inferno, placed 2nd out of 6 teams of girls with special needs in the final competition at Cardinals Stadium! So much of the credit goes to our amazing coaches, Hollie and Angela, who have volunteered hours of their time to giving these girls confidence and skills that they didn’t know they had. Huge credit to the assistant cheerleaders who worked with the girls and literally acted as their cheerleaders, coaches, companions, helpers, and bodies all at the same time. I know Ari’s helper, Angelica, has become like family to us. Anyone who loves your sweet and precious 53 lb. child enough to volunteer to carry her while dancing an hour each week just to make her happy grows to be your family. Of course we can’t forget Tommy, who makes it all happen :). We adore AZ Heat All Stars with a passion, and we will definitely be returning again in the fall!
