Mega Mud Mania

I occasionally like to peruse our local websites to see what events are going on in our area that might be fun to check out. I landed on this one today, and boy oh boy, was it a gem. Yes, it was actually called Mega Mud Mania, and I would say the name suits it well. Our kids got to run through a mud obstacle course and then go buck wild in a mud pool! They were in hog heaven... literally. At first, the girls were not quite sure what to think of the mud. Gabe ran the obstacle course at least ten times before we could catch him. We were so happy to see him acting like a boy. By that I mean, we were happy he loved it. We half expected him to freak out, but he showed us.

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the amazing Daddies out there... and especially to my wonderful babies' daddy (husband), Jacob. We couldn't do any of it without you, babe.
Isn't he handsome?

Back to School!

I might be a little absent on the blog for a bit, because I'm now taking 2 summer graduate classes at ASU! I'm back to school to finish my Masters in Counseling Psychology (M.C.) degree! I never thought that I would be happy to be in school, but yes, I'm very excited. I feel like I'm the old mom who's totally stoked about being in class that everyone rolls their eyes at. Actually, I'm lying about the rolling eyes part (I think?). I have a ton of reading this summer, and (a first for me) I'm reading every page! Wish me luck and please pray that I can finish with the same zeal that I started with, and don't hate my life in two years. :)

MRI Results

The results of Ari's MRI show that there have not been any changes (good or bad) in her MRI as compared to the one taken in late January. In other words, the (presumed) blood clot has not been affected by treatment with blood thinners and remains, but there is still no acute damage from the blood clot (or whatever it is). So, the plan is to continue treatment with Coumadin for another three months.
