Last month, we celebrated Gabriel and Ariana’s fifth birthdays. This cake pop with an oversized candle was only the beginning of the festivities (which I will post soon!). Every year, their birthday brings a rush of many emotions, most prominent of which I call “mom pride”. It’s something akin to “mom joy”, which is a special kind of pride or joy, respectively, that I have only ever experienced since motherhood. In other words, I feel just exceptionally blessed that these little people somehow wound up in my body, arms, home, life. We have our rough days, sure, but I wouldn’t trade even the worst of them for a day pre-Taylor twins. Happy five years babies!
