Four Generations on a Steamboat

We were thrilled to get to spend last weekend with Grandma Frances.  Technically speaking, she is Jake’s grandma, but one could say that she’s my grandma too since she has more or less officially adopted me as one of her grandchildren.  We love her and we appreciate, more than ever, the time that she gets to spend with us.

During her weekend with us, the Taylor clan kept her very exhausted busy.  On Saturday morning, we trekked down to Canyon Lake to take a ride aboard the Dolly Steamboat.  Grandma was fortunate enough to have six crazy great grandchildren ages 6 and under accompany us on this otherwise relaxing and very picturesque tour of the lake.  No really, the kids made it so fun.  I slept with my mouth open in the car afterwards on the whole drive home, but the boat ride was an awesome time.

This group shot was taken after the Dolly ride was over.  Not surprisingly, all of the kids look utterly spent (except Madison, of course ;)).
